‘Should be ready’: Liverpool player now set to return from injury much sooner than expected – agent

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has had to deal with his fair share of injuries this season.

Klopp has seen virtually every position on the pitch affected by fitness issues this campaign.

Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb have spoken to prominent agents Federico and Andrea Pastorello.

Liverpool’s mid-season training camp in Dubai got off to the worst possible start.

Just as Luis Diaz looked set to be return to action, he suffered a major setback.

The Colombian now looks unlikely to play any part for the Reds for at least three months after having knee surgery.

The Athletic also suggests that Diogo Jota is unlikely to play again until February at the very earliest.

In the middle of the park, Liverpool have been without Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita at various points of the season.

Harvey Elliott, Fabio Carvalho and even Stefan Bajcetic have been used in their absence.

However, Liverpool may now have some good news regarding Arthur Melo.

Arthur’s agents suggest he could now return from injury much sooner than expected.

The Brazilian has yet to make his Liverpool league debut since arriving in the summer.

His 13 minutes in the Champions League against Napoli is the only glimpse Reds fans have had of the 26-year-old.

Arthur to return from injury sooner than expected

A number of injuries just before the summer transfer window closed forced Liverpool to act on deadline day.

Arthur Melo arrived on loan just in the nick of time, only to suffer from fitness issues of his own.

Guillem Balague reported that he was ignoring his days off in order to try and get back to full fitness sooner.

Unfortunately, Arthur injured himself during training just weeks later, and required surgery.

The report suggests the Brazilian should be side-lined for three to four months, meaning a return is expected around the end of January.

However, Arthur now looks set to return from injury sooner than expected, according to his agents.

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, they said: “He is a determined boy and proof of this is the fact that he is forging ahead to get back on the pitch, he is three weeks ahead of his schedule.

“He has recovered 30% earlier than expected and he should be ready for what is the start of the new championship.”
