Tottenham will move early next week to try and bring a new centre-back to the club after Ange Postecoglou approved two players.
Spurs are looking to land a new defender after an injury to Cristian Romero added to their misery.
A host of injury issues to big players like James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, and now Romero, mean Spurs are in dire need of improvements in January. And Postecoglou wants business done early.
A couple of names have been mentioned but the main two players now being looked at are Jean-Clair Todibo and Radu Dragusin.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, Postecoglou has given the ok for either of those deals to be done by the Tottenham board.
Taking to X, Romano has confirmed that Tottenham want a deal done by next week, with both Todibo and Dragusin the main targets.
Tottenham will end up with Todibo or Dragusin
While most teams and managers are used to the January window dragging on and there being a frantic finish to get deals over the line, Spurs can’t afford that this time.
They simply have to move quickly for a defender after the injury to Romero. There’s no time to waste and the four goals conceded at Brighton showed their lack of quality at the back right now.
Both Dragusin and Todibo are clearly players who fit the bill for Postecoglou and what he wants in terms of that central defender.
Which one he ends up with, is another matter. But it’s clear he’s made his point to Daniel Levy and the board and it’s now down to them to get things motoring along.
The quicker this is done, the better chance Spurs have of picking up points in January. Failure to get things done before the month is nearly done could have a huge impact on proceedings.
