'He wants to join Tottenham': Journalist makes big claim about 'extraordinary' player Conte approves of

Tottenham are the club of choice for midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi, with Antonio Conte said to be a big personal fan of the Atalanta star.

Malinovskyi has emerged on the radar of Spurs in recent weeks and reports have claimed Fabio Paratici is trying to put together one of his now famed long-term loan deals for the Ukrainian star. However, as yet, no deal is done and there has been talk that Malinovskyi has actually agreed terms with Marseille too.

But according to journalist Ryan Taylor, Malinovskyi would rather be joining Tottenham if he had the choice, and Antonio Conte is even said personally approve of the 29-year-old’s arrival.

I believe Ruslan Malinovskyi wants to join Tottenham and Conte is open to signing him,” Taylor told GiveMeSport.

“But Atalanta would like a permanent deal, whereas I don’t think Spurs are entirely set on that at the moment. He is 29 and there’s also been talks with Marseille.”

Dubbed an ‘extraordinary‘ player for Atalanta by Gian Piero Gasperini, Malinovskyi fits the bill of experienced ready-made players Conte has tried to add this summer. Of course, younger up and coming talents like Djed Spence have also signed, but the main focus has been to get winners in for the here and now.

TBR’s View: Malinovskyi Could Complete Tottenham Jigsaw

As good as Tottenham’s start to the season has been, there is room for other new faces in the squad, especially if they add quality like Malinovskyi would.

It is easy to see why Spurs want a loan deal though. Malinovskyi is 29 and Fabio Paratici does seem to like to do business that way as well.

You get the impression this is a deal Spurs are ready to pull the trigger on if they wanted to. Which begs the question as well of do they have other irons in the fire as well as Malinovskyi.
