Clarke, 20, joins Ross County after becoming a regular in Arsenal’s Under-23 side and then clocking up 35 outings for Oldham last season on loan. It was the England Under-17 international’s second professional goal, having scored once for Oldham. Rangers, though, went on to win 4-2.

Rangers failed to defend a cross into the box from the left flank and after Allan McGregor parried a shot – Clarke was there to finish well from the angle. The centre-back will be hoping to build on his goal, in what was his first start for the club. He came on as a substitute against Hibernian.
