'Closer to securing a deal': Romano says 'amazing' Liverpool player has agreed personal terms elsewhere

Liverpool might be close to signing Darwin Nunez this weekend, but they are also on the verge of saying goodbye to star forward, Sadio Mane.

Mane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent weeks, with the German club tipped to make their move to bring the Senegalese star to the Bundesliga. As yet, though, the Munich giants haven’t submitted a bid which Liverpool deem suitable.

However, things are moving closer to being completed when it comes to Mane and Bayern, according to Fabrizio Romano anyway. The respected journalist has taken to Twitter this evening to claim Mane has agreed personal terms with Bayern, with a full deal edging nearer.

Mane will leave the Reds having wrapped up everything there is to win in a Liverpool shirt. A bargain £34m signing from Southampton, Mane has been equally as important as the ever-impressive Mo Salah in the success Jurgen Klopp has brought to the club.

Lauded as a truly ‘amazing’ player for his performances with Liverpool, Mane will be missed at Liverpool, albeit the signing of Nunez will numb the pain a tad.

TBR’s View: Mane Will Go Down As A Liverpool Legend

Liverpool have so many legendary figures through the years and it’s hard to label anyone in the bracket.

But with Sadio Mane, he certainly is a legend of Anfield. His form since signing from Southampton has been nothing short of remarkable and in a way, it’s a shame to see him leave this summer.

Alas, it appears he has made his mind up and Bayern will be getting themselves a world-class player who still has so much to offer at the top level. For Liverpool, they’ll want the money they think Mane is worth, and at around £40m, it’s not the end of the world for a player in the final year of his deal.
