Fabrizio Romano has told The Here We Go Podcast that he does not see any problem in Arsenal agreeing a new contract with Bukayo Saka, with the youngster very happy at the Emirates.
Saka has been the jewel in the crown for some time. In fact, it is scary to think that the England international is still only 20 years of age. He has well made over 100 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.

And he has taken his game to another level once again this term. He has seven goals in the Premier League – only Emile Smith Rowe has more for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Unsurprisingly, he is attracting attention. Recent reports claimed that both Liverpool and Manchester City are monitoring Saka.
Obviously, there may be concerns regarding what his future may hold should Arsenal remain out of the Champions League. It has been suggested by some that he should leave if the Gunners finish outside the top four this year.

Arsenal fans will surely have some concern about Saka leaving if they do fall short this season. But Romano has alleviated some of those fears, insisting that the youngster remains committed to the club.
“I wanted to say one thing about Bukayo Saka because it’s normal to have a lot of rumours on Bukayo Saka. This boy is doing incredible. I think sometimes he’s underrated in the press, but he’s a special talent,” he told The Here We Go Podcast.
“The player loves Arsenal, and at the moment, he’s not planning for something different. Contract talks won’t take place now. It’s not in February, it’s not in March, they will discuss maybe end of the season. But Arsenal are, of course, happy with him, and he is happy with them. So I don’t see any problem.”
Arsenal will hope to avoid leaving Saka with tough decision to make
Saka is destined for the Champions League one way or another. And Arsenal will be desperate to ensure that he is playing in that competition with them.
However, Saka does not need to rush. With the Gunners, he knows that he is set to be a key part of the side for years to come. And he has that connection with supporters that will be difficult to replicate elsewhere.
That perhaps removes some of the importance of reaching the Champions League this year. Arteta can certainly argue that they are still moving in the right direction. And that may well be enough to convince those youngsters to stick around.
Arsenal will hope however, that they do not need to worry about that possibility once the top-four race concludes.
