Manchester United want to buy new players in January but could need to sell, with both Raphael Varane and Casemiro players they’ll consider bids for.
Both Varane and Casemiro have played bit-part roles this season after being such key players last term for Erik ten Hag.
Varane has come in for criticism for some poor performances while Casemiro has struggled for fitness and looked nowhere near the player he did last season when he has played.
And according to The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, United will consider bids for both Varane and Casemiro when the January window opens.

Writing in his latest Reading the Game column, Delaney says that United will at least entertain offers for the experienced former Real Madrid pair.
The sale of one or both would allow United more room for manoeuvre in the transfer market.
With Jim Ratcliffe set to seal a 25% stake in the club shortly, United are hoping to be in a place to spend a bit in January and into the summer. However, sales are also needed to balance the books when it comes to FFP and other matters.
Varane and Casemiro need to leave Manchester United
And to be honest, they aren’t the only ones either.
United have a number of players on the books who could do with being moved on and given fresh starts.
The likes of Jadon Sancho are among those players, while others such as Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof could also be shifted elsewhere.
Erik ten Hag is sticking to his plan at United right now but he needs to ensure the door keeps revolving until he gets the squad he wants.
Varane and Casemiro have done their bit in a way at United. But the time feels right to move forward and those two going would remove two big wages off the books.
