Rio Ferdinand has told BT Sport that Joao Felix looks a super talent following the Arsenal-linked forward’s display in the Champions League win over Manchester United on Tuesday night.
Atletico Madrid have booked their place in the quarter-final of the competition. A 1-0 win at Old Trafford saw Diego Simeone’s men knock their Premier League opposition out with a 2-1 victory on aggregate.

The 22-year-old helped lead the line for the visitors. And there is a good chance that his performance may have caught the attention of some of the Arsenal supporters.
Recent reports claimed that £113 million man Felix has been offered to Arsenal. It is probably fair to say that the 22-year-old has struggled to hit the heights expected of him. But he has still managed to be directly involved in 41 goals in 105 appearances in all competitions.

And following his display against Manchester United, Ferdinand insisted that he was hugely impressed with the youngster’s contribution in Atleti’s win.
“That fella there in the picture, Joao Felix. Super talent. Some of the touches he produced in the game were tremendous,” he told BT Sport.
Joao Felix the kind of player Arsenal should have on wishlist if Atletico are open to sale
Felix has never quite managed to be a regular starter in the Spanish capital. He has not completed 90 minutes in La Liga since December.
If Atletico are really open to the idea of letting him go, Arsenal would certainly be right to ask the question.
Mikel Arteta’s men have put together an incredibly exciting group of young players. And clearly, Felix fits the profile absolutely perfectly.
The report on the links with Arsenal suggested that the Gunners may not be overly keen.
But he may be available. And if that is the case, he is surely a player that Arsenal will talk about behind the scenes during the summer.
As Ferdinand suggests, he is a huge talent. And plenty of Arsenal fans will hope that they do indeed act if he becomes available.
