Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Atletico Madrid striker, Joao Felix, as Edu eyes a statement signing for the Gunners this summer.
After missing out on a big name signing in January, efforts are now being focused on who the Gunners can land in the summer. A striker is the order of the day and Arsenal are said to be willing to spend big money on getting the right man this time around.

And according to The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, Joao Felix has been offered to Arsenal already. Writing for his latest newsletter for the publication, Delaney claims that Felix has been offered to the Gunners, although it’s suggested that Arsenal are not quite as hot on Felix as some might expect.
Lauded as ‘magnificent’ by Atletico president Enrique Cerezo, Felix has been linked with a big-money move to Newcastle in recent days. He was signed by Atletico for £113m in one of the more eye-catching transfers in recent seasons.
TBR’s View: Felix Would Certainly Raise Eyebrows Among Arsenal Fans
Wow. This would be a huge signing by the Gunners. For whatever reason, Felix doesn’t seem to be fancied by Diego Simeone as much as some would think.
He is, though, a brilliant talent who improves this Arsenal side. At one point, Felix was regarded as one of the very elite young talents in world football. With that, he is still just 22, so he certainly fits the profile of player Arsenal are looking for right now.
Arsenal fans would love Felix. It’s a big name, with potential, in a position they need. If Edu wants his statement signing, then Felix might be it.
