Numerous reports claim that Harry Kane has not attended Tottenham training on Monday morning, as he tries to force through a move. The England skipper is said to be keen on leaving Spurs, with Manchester City keen. Rio Ferdinand has given a six-word verdict on Instagram.
The Athletic claim that 28-year-old Kane has not reported to training as he looks to force a move to Manchester City. They say that City remain keen, despite having a £100million player-plus-cash deal rejected in June. Fabrizio Romano says it is not related to having to supply a negative test.
Whether Manchester City can afford Kane with talks of a £100million move to sign Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish underway, remains to be seen. But it is clear Kane is pushing to depart, following Gareth Bale in missing training to force a move. Ferdinand had his say, on Five’s Instagram post.

Ferdinand then followed up his initial Instagram response by posting on Twitter, comparing the situation to Paul Pogba at Manchester United. He backs Kane’s tactics, if what is being reported to be right.
Is Kane making the right decision to miss Tottenham training?
The Athletic state that it has happened in the past at Tottenham. Perhaps, players feel that given Daniel Levy’s stubbornness, is the only way to get what they want. Even that of Tottenham’s fan favourite, Kane. Spurs through and through, even he will miss training to get a move.
But do we really see Kane leaving Tottenham? Does Levy finally accept a deal with Manchester City – or any other club – for the sale of perhaps the best player of his tenure as chairman? It is hard to imagine, but it seems like Kane is doing everything he can.
