Fabrizio Romano says that Harry Kane has chosen not to turn up to Tottenham Hotspur training today.

Kane’s choice

Kane was due to be at Hotspur Way this morning, but the striker did not turn up as expected.

Initially there were suggestions that Kane had not shown up as he had to undergo a covid test.

However, Romano suggests that he has heard that Kane’s decision is down to personal choice.

To stay or go?

The latest development throws Kane’s future into further doubt.

Tottenham have been fighting to keep the England captain and had obviously banked on him to remain professional.

However, his latest actions could force Tottenham into having to consider a sale.

Kane is also likely to be looked upon unfavourably by Spurs supporters who have adored him if he does try and force through a deal.

Tottenham’s season begins with a game against Manchester City in just under two weeks, and it is uncertain which squad Kane will be part of for that contest.
