Everton star Amadou Onana has claimed that Michael Keane’s finishing is simply ‘outrageous’.

The Toffees have struggled for goals in the Premier League this season. They have scored just 28 times in 26 games, which is simply not good enough. Maybe, just maybe, playing Keane up front could change things for Everton.

Everton’s Amadou Onana says Michael Keane’s finishing is ‘outrageous’

Everton signed Michael Keane from Burnley in 2017 for a then club-record-equalling £30 million fee (BBC).

The English centre-half has played over 200 games for the Toffees in all competitions since, and he has had his ups and downs at Goodison Park.

Keane is no longer the first-choice for Everton under Sean Dyche, but the 31-year-old’s quality has not been forgotten by his teammates.

Amadou Onana, who sees Keane in training almost every day, seems to be wowed by his shooting ability, which he claims is ‘outrageous’.

When Marva Kreel suggested that Keane should be played up front when a team needs a goal, Onana added on the Premier League’s YouTube channel: “Yeah, his finish is outrageous. His finishing is ridiculous.

“For a centre-back, it’s, yeah, amazing!”

Keane scored a stunner for Everton vs Tottenham

As a centre-back, nobody really expects you to score too many goals, but Keane has it in his locker.

The Englishman, in a home game against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last year, was heavily involved at both ends of the pitch.

He conceded a penalty that Harry Kane converted in the 67th minute, and just when it looked like Everton were going to lose the game, he came up with the goods.

Keane picked the ball up a long way outside the box, took a couple of touches forward, and smashed in an absolute screamer to help his side pick up a point.

Going by Onana’s comments now, Keane probably does that regularly in training.
