Richarlison lauds Yerry Mina on Instagram after Everton beat Burnley
Richarlison has lauded Yerry Mina as the best defender in response to the Everton star’s Instagram post after Monday’s win over Burnley.
The Toffees are fourth in the Premier League table after their victory at Goodison Park. However, it had appeared that they may be set for a disappointing result at one stage.
After a goalless first-half, the Clarets took the lead eight minutes after the break. But by the midway point in the second-half, Everton were 3-1 up and knocking on the door once again.
It was a real shot in the arm for Rafa Benitez, with two of his new signings getting on the scoresheet.
But there were impressive performances all over the pitch. Many supporters lauded Seamus Coleman on social media.
Meanwhile, Richarlison has heaped praise on Mina.
The Colombian won nine aerial duels during the contest (Whoscored). Ben Mee and Ben Godfrey were next on the list – but with five wins each.
He also made two clearances and two interceptions.
It was an encouraging performance from the 26-year-old who is arguably yet to silence all of his doubters on Merseyside.
And following the game, Mina took to social media to express his delight at the victory and being back in action.
In response, Richarlison seemingly suggested that the former Barcelona man is Everton’s best defender…
Everton make promising start under Benitez as Burnley are left stunned by comeback
Everton have taken 10 points from their opening four games. And they have shown a lot of fight to secure those results.
They have conceded the opener in both of their home games. But they have won both of those fixtures 3-1.
Potentially tougher opposition will lie ahead for the Toffees. But the signs are extremely positive.
