Arsenal’s pursuit of Shakhtar Donetsk forward Mykhaylo Mudryk is becoming the biggest transfer saga of the window.
A report from The Athletic has provided the latest update on Mudryk’s future.
The 21-year-old winger has made it clear for some time that The Emirates is his preferred destination.
Arsenal have already made two bids for the Ukrainian, with the second currently being discussed.
The Gunners reportedly face competition from Chelsea for his signature, although Arsenal is still his most likely destination.

The Athletic report that Mudryk is now on his way to a mid-season training camp in Turkey with Shakhtar.
He joined up with his teammates this morning, and will now be preparing for three friendlies while the Ukrainian league is on a winter break.
Arsenal will be pleased that Mudryk is still in training and maintaining his fitness.
If a deal does go through in the next few days, they’ll want him ready and available to play as quickly as possible.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Mikel Arteta is confident Arsenal will complete a deal for Mudryk.
Arsenal are optimistic that a deal will be done this week to bring Mudryk to The Emirates.
While all this is going on, Mudryk is now back in Shakhtar training.
