Report: West Ham United now interested in signing ‘unstoppable’ midfielder, he knows Issa Diop well

The transfer window only closed last week, but West Ham United are already chasing new targets.

A report from Calcio Mercato has identified the latest player the Hammers are interested in.

The Italian source believe West Ham are interested in PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.

Calcio Mercato believe the West Ham may have to battle Liverpool and AC Milan for his signature.

Sangare is no stranger to interest from Premier League clubs.

Newcastle United were interested in the ‘unstoppable’ midfielder in January.

There was also an attempt on deadline day by Chelsea to sign Sangare.

The dynamic midfielder only signed a new contract at PSV in August, which would increase his price tag.

West Ham interested in Sangare

David Moyes’ side spent much of the summer transfer window looking to bolster their midfield options.

Club Brugge’s Hans Vanaken was a long-term target, but ended up staying in Belgium.

The Hammers did bring in Flynn Downes from Swansea City, who made his full debut on Thursday against FCSB.

Sangare is a very impressive young midfielder, who is destined to play at the highest level.

The Ivorian started his career at Toulouse, and became an important first-team player by the age of 20.

The French club’s relegation alerted plenty of clubs to his availability, and it was somewhat of a surprise he chose a move to The Netherlands.

He’s flourished in the Eredivisie and quickly become one of the best midfielders in the league.

The defensive midfielder is a brilliant passer and dribbler, and pops up with the odd goal too.

Out of possession, he reads the game really well, making plenty of interceptions and timing his tackles expertly.

Sangare has played more than 20 times with former West Ham defender Issa Diop while at Toulouse.

The Frenchman has already recommended West Ham to one new signing.

David Moyes will be hoping that he can work his magic again with Sangare.

West Ham’s interest in Sangare makes complete sense, and he could be the perfect partner for Declan Rice in midfield.
