West Ham United may be making progress on their first signing of the summer, with The Athletic reporting that they are set to open talks over a deal for Keane Lewis-Potter.
The Hammers still have much to play for this season. Obviously, they will hope to finish as high as they can in the Premier League. But clearly, the priority now is to go on and win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League.

Should that happen, it could be a hugely exciting window at the London Stadium. But it would seem that West Ham will also stick with tried and tested methods in the market.
The Hammers have done some amazing business when signing players from the EFL in the last few years. And it seems that they plan to replicate that in the coming months.

According to The Athletic, West Ham are set to open talks with Hull over a deal for Lewis-Potter. The young forward is valued at £18 million.
Lewis-Potter has enjoyed a superb campaign with the Tigers. He has scored 11 goals in 44 games in the Championship, while also providing four assists.
He was labelled a ‘special‘ player by former Hull boss Grant McCann. And reports have claimed that Tottenham are also monitoring the 21-year-old ahead of the summer.
Keane Lewis-Potter deal could be brilliant way for West Ham to kick off summer
West Ham have done some outstanding business in the market. The likes of Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell have proved to be inspired signings from the leagues below.
Obviously, it is easy to draw comparisons with Bowen given that Lewis-Potter plays for Hull.
If West Ham think he has the potential to step up, an £18 million deal could prove to be yet another masterstroke.
