West Ham have made it known that they are ready to increase their bid for Piotr Zielinski to over £30 million as they look to land another Serie A star this summer, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Hammers have made a statement of intent in this window. They announced the arrival of striker Gianluca Scamacca on Tuesday.

And it seems that more may be on the way. Reports last week claimed that West Ham were ready to make a bid for Zielinski.

It seems that their first offer for the Poland international has been rejected. But David Moyes’s side are not giving up on landing the 28-year-old by any means.

According to Corriere dello Sport, West Ham are planning to offer up to £30.3 million for Zielinski. The midfielder meanwhile, would be open to leaving Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, but only for an offer that he simply cannot turn down.

West Ham ready to increase Zielinski bid

Zielinski would be another exciting signing for West Ham. He scored eight goals and provided five assists in all competitions last season. And he has had 73 goal involvements in 281 games for Napoli.

He has been labelled an ‘exceptional‘ player. And at 28, he could be at the peak of his powers.

West Ham certainly appear to need greater depth in the middle of the park. And Zielinski has the versatility to play in a number of roles in midfield.

It will be interesting to see whether Napoli are open to the incoming offer. Zielinski meanwhile, may be looking for the ideal opportunity before leaving, but West Ham signing Scamacca must boost their hopes.

It is a real statement of intent from the Irons to sign the striker. It is certainly something that their other targets may keep in mind.
