Reported West Ham target and Barcelona striker, Martin Braithwaite, could now end up staying in Spain, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo.
Braithwaite is apparently high on David Moyes’ list of potential signings this summer. Reports a few weeks back revealed that the Hammers were in talks over a £12.8m deal to bring the Danish forward to London.
However, Mundo Deportivo now claim that those talks with West Ham haven’t quite progressed. Further, it’s suggested that Barcelona won’t pressure Braithwaite to leave, given his relatively low salary compared with others in the squad.

The forward was a surprise signing for the Catalan club. He has struggled for both games and goals since joining. But, he impressed with Denmark in the Euros, prompting interest from the Hammers and others.
Wolves have also been linked with a move for Braithwaite. However, the successful return of Raul Jimenez might prompt them to change their stance.
It remains to be seen, then, if Barcelona will indeed cash in on Braithwaite.
Time to move on?
Without sounding too disrespectful here to Braithwaite, is he really worth the wait for West Ham and Wolves here? Looking at his basic stats, you’d say not.
He scored just two La Liga goals last term for Barca. Hardly mind-blowing stuff, and despite a good Euros effort, he did only bag the once for Denmark.
Ultimately, there will be other players out there who can do a similar job for both the Hammers and Wolves. Especially for the money.
If Barcelona and Braithwaite drag this on further, then both clubs really should just walk away from proceedings.
