West Ham are likely to be the next destination for Nikola Milenkovic ahead of Spurs and other suitors.

This is according to Calciomercato, who have claimed that the 23-year-old’s future consists of the Hammers.

Just a week ago, Tuttomercatoweb claimed that Spurs were in talks to sign the Fiorentina centre-back.

Calciomercato now claim Milenkovic is on the brink of leaving Florence after turning down a new contract.

Given his current deal expires next summer, this month is the last chance the Viola have of getting a good fee for him.

Calciomercato say the likes of Milan, Inter, Juventus, Sevilla and Manchester United were reportedly eyeing Milenkovic.

But now, West Ham are seemingly his likeliest destination ahead of the likes of Tottenham.

The Hammers are reportedly willing to spend over 15million euro (around £12million) on Milenkovic.

Will West Ham beat Spurs to the new Vidic?

Milenkovic is a top defender, tall and imposing, who has been compared to the great Nemanja Vidic.

Born in 1997, he came through the ranks at Partizan Belgrade and won the Serbian title and Serbian Cup at the capital club.

He then moved to Fiorentina in 2017 for a reported £4.5million.

It didn’t take him long to establish himself as one of the first names on the Viola team sheet.

To date, Milenkovic has made 133 appearances for Fiorentina, registering 11 goals as well.

The 23-year-old has also won 28 caps for Serbia and played all three of their games at the 2018 World Cup.
