Jesse Lingard has plenty of options on the table after leaving Manchester United this summer and 90 Min reports that West Ham United are his preferred destination.
The 29-year-old’s time at United came to an end this summer after his contract expired. And now Lingard has to choose between West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Everton.
The England international spent half of the 2020-21 season on loan at the Hammers and played some of the best football of his career under Moyes. And it seems that the ‘brilliant’ Lingard favours a move back to West Ham.

West Ham are Lingard’s preferred destination
The latest report suggests that West Ham are Lingard’s favoured destination but the club are reluctant to pay the wages he is demanding. This is despite Moyes being really keen on a reunion with the player.
The update also states that the Hammers remain in the running to secure Lingard this summer and he will make a decision in the coming days.
Forest make late move for Lingard
But Forest’s late move to sign the midfielder has complicated things and are in advanced talks to get the deal done.
While West Ham are reluctant to meet his wage demands, Cooper’s side are confident he’ll be playing at the City Ground next season.

That is because Forest are allegedly willing to break their wage structure in order to bring Lingard to the club.
Lingard’s loan spell at West Ham was a resounding success as he registered nine goals and five assists in 16 games. He also forced his way back into the England set-up off the back of that season and put his name in the running to make the Euros squad.
The England midfielder may be keen on a return to London but if reports are true, either him or West Ham will have to budge on the dispute over his wages.
