Venezia are interested in Manchester City central defender Erik Palmer-Brown.
What’s the story?
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the United States international is ‘in the sights’ of the Italian outfit.
The newly-promoted Serie A outfit are keen on closing a deal, even if they complete a move for AC Milan’s Mattia Caldara.
Palmer-Brown joined the Citizens from Sporting Kansas City in the summer of 2017. However, he’s yet to make a single appearance for the club at youth or senior level.
The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with Austria Vienna, where he made 24 appearances in the league. He’s only ever played twice for his country and was last called up in March of this year.

Palmer-Brown sale makes sense for Manchester City amid Venezia interest
Selling Palmer-Brown makes sense for Manchester City amid interest from Venezia.
At 24, the player is yet to make a single appearance for the club at any level. And with just a year left on his contract, selling him as opposed to letting him leave on a free would be preferable.
But, his situation does beg the question, why was he signed in the first place?
The move will help clear the decks further as City look to embark on a summer spending spree.
Wages and squad space needs to be cleared to welcome the potential arrivals of Jack Grealish and Harry Kane.
The latest reports claim the duo will fetch fees of over £100m meaning even the littlest of sales will go a long way.
