Arsenal are on the lookout for reinforcements and the Italian top-flight seems to have caught Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta’s eye.

The Gunners’ top target in this month’s window is Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic. If reports are to be believed, Arteta and co are doing everything they can to get that deal over the line, but he isn’t the only Serie A player they’re after.

Rumours over the last few weeks have linked Arsenal with moves for Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Arthur Melo.

Gazzetta dello Sport have backed those claims and they have some information that would make Arsenal fans happy.

Both Kulusevski and Arthur want to join Arsenal

Kulusevski and Arthur are nowhere near the top of Max Allegri’s pecking order at the moment.

The Swede has started just four games in the league all season while the Brazilian midfielder has been given the nod from the start on just three occasions.

Both Kulusevski and Arthur have been placed on the market by The Old Lady. After numerous reports linked Arsenal with a move for them, Gazzetta claim that both players are keen to join the Gunners before the window shuts in 19 days time.

However, whether Arsenal will make a move for either one of them is a completely different story.

Should Arsenal sign the two Juventus players?

Kulusevski made the news when Nicolas Pepe’s future came into question a few weeks ago. The Ivorian has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal and if he was to leave, the Swede was viewed as an option.

Pepe, however, is unlikely to go anywhere in this window, which eliminates the need for Kulusevski, even though he’s a superb player.

Arthur, on the other hand, would be brilliant for Arsenal. The Gunners are extremely light in midfield after Thomas Partey and Mo Elneny left for AFCON, Ainsley Maitland-Niles went to Roma and Granit Xhaka tested positive for COVID.

Arteta is desperate for options in the middle of the park and Arthur, who once shocked Lionel Messi with his talent in Barcelona training, is someone Arsenal should definitely consider – either on loan or on a permanent deal.
