Tottenham are interested in Danny Ings, however, think his contract demands could be ‘too high’.

What’s the story?

The Lilywhites have been chasing the ‘brilliant‘ Southampton forward for much of the transfer window.

Reports from earlier in July claimed they wanted the centre-forward as an option alongside Harry Kane.

However, recent developments may make that almost impossible to achieve.

Harry Kane has gone rogue over the last 24 hours as he pushes for a move to Manchester City. The England international followed up his missed training session yesterday with another absence today.

Meanwhile, according to The Telegraph, the club are fearful over the Saints ace’s contract demands.

His last two seasons with Southampton have been goals, goals and even more goals.

However, at 29-years-old and with his injury record, Spurs really should be searching for a younger alternative.

Last season alone, the England international suffered two separate issues. And whilst he was only out for a limited amount of games, it still proves a worry.

These problems will only get worse, the older Ings gets.
