Tottenham Hotspur summer target Hakim Ziyech can leave Chelsea during the January transfer window, with 90min reporting that Graham Potter is happy to let him go.

Ziyech has had a pretty torrid time since moving to Stamford Bridge. The Moroccan has only managed to show glimpses of his quality. And he has struggled for game-time.

Of course, Thomas Tuchel’s departure may have left Ziyech with some hope of resurrecting his Chelsea career. However, the arrival of Graham Potter has done little for his situation.

He has only played a handful of minutes for the Blues under the new boss so far. And with that, Chelsea are ready to open the door for the 29-year-old to move on in January.

90min reports that Chelsea will consider offers for Ziyech in the winter. In fact, they are open to letting him leave on loan – even if clubs want to keep him until the end of next season.

It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham reignite their interest. Reports right at the end of August from journalist Toni Juanmarti suggested that Spurs had got close to agreeing personal terms with the attacking midfielder.

Ultimately, Antonio Conte’s men would miss out on signing Ziyech. But given that they failed to sign another attacking player in the last hours of the window, perhaps it may be something Conte looks at again in January.

Obviously, Ziyech has had a poor time at Chelsea. And Tottenham have not previously had the best relationship with the Blues.

But Chelsea are under new ownership. And the willingness to consider a loan move opens the door for a deal that could suit all parties.

He has the potential to make ‘brilliant‘ things happen. And his availability may well put Tottenham on alert.
