‘On track’: Tottenham now in talks to sign ‘unreal’ Premier League player, close to agreeing personal terms – journalist

Tottenham Hotspur are now in talks to sign Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, with football journalist Toni Juanmarti reporting that they’re already close to agreeing personal terms.

Reports suggested last week that Spurs are interested in bringing Ziyech to North London this summer.

Antonio Conte’s men are reportedly on the lookout for an attacking player as Bryan Gil is nearing a move to Valencia.

Gil’s move apparently depends on whether Spurs can secure a replacement before tomorrow’s deadline.

And it seems that Spurs are now trying to complete a surprise move for the ‘unreal’ Ziyech.

Spurs now in talks to sign Ziyech

Toni Juanmarti reports that Tottenham are one of the options for Ziyech late this summer.

The 29-year-old has attracted interest from his former club Ajax but Spurs are currently leading the race.

Talks between the two London clubs are underway and personal terms with the player are ‘on track’.

Ziyech joined Chelsea back in 2020 after some brilliant performances for Ajax in the Champions League.

But the Moroccan international has struggled to nail down a place in Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The winger put in some dazzling displays for Ajax but has failed to find consistency at Chelsea.

Spurs are on the lookout for a creative player and Ziyech could fit the bill perfectly for Conte’s men.

The Chelsea man would provide competition for Dejan Kulusevski and give Conte another top quality attacking option.

But it remains to be seen whether this is a deal that can be done. Chelsea and Spurs do not often do business together.

The Blues may be reluctant to sell one of their assets to a team that are considered to be direct rivals to them in the Premier League.

But for Spurs, it would be an excellent late move. If Ziyech finds the form he produced at Ajax, Conte would have a very creative player on his hands.
