Tottenham Hotspur have not yet given up on agreeing a new contract with Tobi Omole with the youngster’s current terms set to expire at the end of the season, according to a report from All Nigeria Soccer.
Spurs have been looking to tie Omole down for some time, it seems. Reports in December claimed that they had reached advanced talks with the 22-year-old. It was noted that he was highly thought of at Tottenham.

However, as things stand, the defender is yet to put pen to paper. And with that, some at Tottenham may be concerned that Omole may be heading for the Hotspur Way exit.
All Nigeria Soccer reports that Tottenham have been pleased with Omole since his move from Arsenal. He has been a stalwart for the under-23 side this term. And he was named on the bench on a few occasions under Nuno Espírito Santo.

Antonio Conte is not struggling for options at centre-back. Joe Rodon has barely been able to get a look-in since the Italian arrived late last year.
But it would appear that Spurs still hope that Omole will have a future at the club. All Nigeria Soccer reports that Tottenham have not yet given up on agreeing a new contract with the youngster.
Omole must be wary of signing new Tottenham contract
It remains to be seen what Omole decides regarding his future. Obviously, he is at a fantastic club who have made sure that the pathway for young players is open.
Having said that, he will surely struggle to earn the opportunities he may be hoping for at Spurs.
As mentioned, Conte has so many options in that position. Rodon remains out of the fold despite Eric Dier being sidelined for a few weeks with an injury.
Perhaps that may influence Omole’s decision over whether to stay at Tottenham. He may be reluctant to stick around if he is going to struggle to break out from the under-23s.
