Report: Tottenham ready to finalise deal for Ndombele replacement
Tottenham Hotspur are ready to commit to a £12.5 million option to buy Sofyan Amrabat as they close in on bringing the Fiorentina midfielder in on loan, according to a report from Calciomercato.
Amrabat has endured a frustrating season in Florence. He has made 11 appearances in Serie A. However, he has only started one game in the top-flight this term.
Nevertheless, Tottenham are admirers of the Morocco international. And it was suggested by Fabrizio Romano that he could come in as the replacement for Tanguy Ndombele.

It is, on paper, a surprise that Spurs view Amrabat as a player who could replace Ndombele. The 25-year-old does not offer the kind of creativity that many Tottenham fans probably want should they make a central midfield signing.
But the Spurs hierarchy look to be making good progress as they pursue a deal. In fact, Calciomercato reports that Tottenham are ready to get a move across the line.
They claim that Amrabat is set to join on an initial loan deal. And Tottenham are ready to agree a £12.5 million option to buy the former Club Bruges man in the summer.
Calciomercato adds that Ndombele sealing a move away should lead to Amrabat making his switch.
Move for Amrabat looks uninspiring, but loan leaves Tottenham in strong position
Certainly, the Tottenham fans dreaming of a January overhaul under Conte will be disappointed with links to players such as Amrabat.
He is not playing regularly, and Fiorentina are not exactly flying high in Italy. So he would have plenty to prove.
Having said that, a loan deal may prove to be a smart piece of business. He is combative, and Conte will have a good idea of what he can bring to the side.
If the move does not work out, Tottenham can let him return to Fiorentina in the summer. And if he does do well, a £12.5 million deal may seem like a potential bargain.
