According to le10sport, Tottenham are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach forward Alassane Plea.
What’s the story?
Well, the French news outlet actually claim that Spurs want two forwards from Borussia Monchengladbach – Plea and Marcus Thuram.
While interest in Thuram has been covered, Plea is a fresh name linked with a move to Nuno Espírito Santo’s Tottenham.
Borussia Monchengladbach paid €23m (£19.6m) to sign the 28-year-old from OGC Nice, which made him the club’s record transfer.
In 39 appearances last season, the 1-cap France international scored 12 goals and provided five assists.
Le10sport add that there has been no contact between Tottenham and Borussia Monchengladbach for either Plea or Thuram as of yet.
Who does Alassane Plea play like?

Interestingly, Plea has been compared to Harry Kane.
Le10sport claim that Spurs are looking at the Frenchman to replace the England captain, so what better way to do that than to sign someone who’s been directly likened to him?
It was the Bundesliga who made the comparison.
Writing on their official website, they mentioned Plea’s ability to hold the ball up with his back to goal, and also his immense finishing skills, as comparable traits to Kane.
In our view, Tottenham should sign both Plea and Thuram.

The pair have simply caused havoc together in Germany.
In our view, their movement would help Heung-min Son continue to pop up in dangerous areas.
Also, after losing Gareth Bale back to Real Madrid, Nuno must target more than just one new attacker.
Hopefully, we’ll see the French duo in N17 in time for the 2021/22 campaign.
