Tottenham Hotspur know they will almost certainly have to act in the January transfer window to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
They currently sit two points outside of the top four and have struggled since the league restarted.
Italian publication La Repubblica have now provided an update on a potential January addition.
Spurs started the season brilliantly, but the level of their performances have tailed off in recent months.
They’ve gone behind in each of their last ten competitive games, which is a worrying trend.
On a number of occasions, they’ve bounced back after conceding first, resulting in some very entertaining games.
But more often than not, Tottenham have failed to come away from matches with three points.

There’s been a clear drop-off in performances when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur haven’t played together in midfield.
It’s why, according to La Repubblica, Tottenham could soon make their move to sign Azzedine Ounahi.
The ‘incredible’ midfielder could be on his way to north London, although Spurs face plenty of competition for the 22-year-old.
Tottenham now make move for Ounahi
The Italian outlet suggest that Tottenham have already been in contact with the Moroccan international.
Napoli are very keen on Ounahi, while Leicester City have also been credited with interest.
They believe that if Tottenham are serious about the young midfielder, they could steal him away from the Serie A side.
Ounahi currently plays for Ligue 1 side Angers, but won over plenty of football fans with his performances in Qatar.
Alongside another Tottenham target, Sofyan Amrabat, Ounahi helped Morocco reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.

Angers want to start an auction for Ounahi starting at around £30.8m.
Napoli aren’t willing to spend more than £13.1m, giving Spurs a good chance of signing the 22-year-old.
Tottenham could make their move for Ounahi soon, and his tenacious energy in midfield and brilliant passing range would make him a brilliant alternative to Bentancur.
Whether a central midfielder is Tottenham’s top priority in January is another matter though.
