Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni in recent days.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Antonio Conte wants Spurs to sign the 23-year-old for whatever the price.
Meanwhile, Gazzetta dello Sport – via Sport Witness – recently claimed Inter are willing to sell Bastoni.

This is because the Nerazzurri apparently need to make money to balance the books, but want to keep Lautaro Martinez.
They also claim Conte ‘has seen with his own eyes how Alessandro is destined to become among the best in the world in his role’.
‘In the sights of Tottenham’
Now, a new report from Corriere – via Sport Witness – claims Tottenham are now in pole position for Bastoni.
The Italian outlet touched upon Inter’s reported interest in Gleison Bremer. However, they ‘must sell and make cash’.
The ‘most immediate offers’ for Bastoni are likely to come from the Premier League, they added.
They reiterate interest from Spurs – he’s ‘in the sights of Tottenham’. However, the Serie A club have ‘no intention of giving him away’.
In fact, the ‘initial request is €70m’ (around £60m).
Now, Calciomercato claimed Tottenham have ‘stepped back’ upon finding out how much Inter want for Bastoni.
Tottenham up against Manchester City and Manchester United?
But going back to the Corriere report, there is apparently a feeling that a deal can be closed ‘for something less’. Perhaps with bonuses and structured payments.
Better still for Spurs fans, the outlet claims Tottenham’s ‘Conte is in pole position’ to land Bastoni.
However, Spurs aren’t the only club reportedly in pursuit.
Manchester City and Manchester United are also reportedly keeping an eye on the 6ft 3in ace.
Bastoni is incredibly talented, established at the highest level, can develop much more, and plays on the left-hand side.
Furthermore, Conte and Bastoni worked together at Inter, the defender deeming his former boss ‘phenomenal‘.
Bastoni already has a Serie A title, an Italian Super Cup and a Euro 2020 winner’s medal.
