Report: Tottenham Hotspur could now launch big money bid to sign 'incredible' player, they're really pushing to get him

Tottenham Hotspur have been chasing a creative player to add to Antonio Conte’s squad this summer and now the club could launch a big money bid to sign AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Calciomercato

Reports suggested over the weekend that Spurs could look to sign the playmaker before the end of the window and now it seems that Antonio Conte’s men have already made their move.

The ‘incredible’ Zaniolo has bounced back brilliantly from suffering two serious knee injuries in recent years and enjoyed a great season under Jose Mourinho last campaign.

The Italian scored the winning goal in the Europa Conference League final back in May and has now caught the attention of Spurs.

Calciomercato reports that Tottenham have now stepped up their attempts to land Zaniolo this summer and offered Roma around £46.3 million for the midfielder

But the bid was not high enough for the Italian club to accept the offer and Spurs could yet come back with a bigger proposal.

Conte’s men actually faced off against Zaniolo during pre-season and Spurs players reportedly told the player to join them in North London

Spurs could launch big money bid for Zaniolo

Tottenham have already added six players to Conte’s squad this summer as the club look to equip the Italian with the necessary squad to compete on all fronts this season.

And while the club have made brilliant signings in players such as Yves Bissouma and Richarlison, a creative midfielder would be the icing on the cake for Conte.

Zaniolo certainly fits the bill and despite two major setbacks with injuries, he’s been a mainstay in the Roma side over the past few seasons.

The Italian can play as an attacking midfielder and off either wing, so he would be a great option for Conte to add an already improved squad.
