According to reports in Italy, Tottenham have made contact to sign defender Gleison Bremer from Serie A outfit Torino.
Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that Fabio Paratici has identified in Bremer many of the characteristics suitable for Antonio Conte’s brand of football.
Contact with Torino has been made, but there is hot competition for his signature from across Europe.

Arsenal are named as an interested club, but surely whichever north London club makes it into next season’s Champions League is more likely to lure him.
Liverpool recently reportedly made their first move to sign the defender, although they would likely need to move someone out first before buying him.
Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Leicester, Everton and Newcastle are also named as interested parties, as well as Atletico Madrid.

The impressive defender was branded ‘incredible’ by Fabrizio Romano previously and Italian media have even called Bremer the ‘strongest defender in Europe’.
Spurs need a new central defender to upgrade on Ben Davies in Conte’s back three and Bremer might be the man to bolster their backline.
The report says Bremer’s asking price is over 50 million euros (£41.6 million), which is a lot but not unmanageable for Spurs, especially if they get Champions League money in the kitty.
