Report: Tottenham face Real Madrid and Inter competition for striker
Tottenham Hotspur are going to have to beat some fierce competition if they hope to land Julian Alvarez, with reports claiming that Inter Milan and Real Madrid are now also in the running to sign the striker.

Alvarez is attracting attention from a host of European heavyweights after a superb start to life with the River Plate first-team.
In all, he has scored 23 goals and contributed 21 assists in 85 appearances for the club. He has been used frequently as both a striker and right winger.
Tottenham want the 21-year-old. A report this week suggested that Aston Villa were also vying for his signature.
And Calciomercato has now thrown a host of names into the mix. They state that Tottenham face a battle with Real, Inter, AC Milan, Sevilla, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
Alvarez has a release clause worth €25 million. However, Calciomercato claims that £17 million would be enough to get a deal done.
Huge coup for Tottenham if they can beat Real and Inter to Alvarez deal
The interest in Alvarez just highlights how impressive the youngster has been since bursting onto the scene.
And landing the Argentina international would be a huge coup for whichever of his admirers secures his signature.
Tottenham certainly need to strengthen their options up front. And Alvarez’s ability to play out wide will certainly help him if finds himself behind Harry Kane in the striker pecking order.
The good news for Spurs is there is little chance of bidding war getting out of control. Paying £21.3 million will trigger his release clause.
He may be available for cheaper. But perhaps Tottenham should be prepared to immediately go higher than £17 million to give themselves the best chance of seeing off the immense competition.
