Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham have all received a big boost in their pursuit of Nikola Milenkovic, with the Sunday Mirror (20/3; page 74) reporting that Fiorentina’s £37.5 million asking price could drop considerably.

A number of major sides across Europe want Milenkovic. He has been excellent with La Viola, making 25 appearances in Serie A this term.

The January transfer window saw Milenkovic linked with the Premier League. Reports claimed however, that Fiorentina would want £37.5 million for the Serbian. That is despite his contract reaching its final 18 months.

The Sunday Mirror (20/3; page 74) reports that he has little intention of signing a new deal. And with that, there is set to be plenty of interest this summer.

Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham all want Milenkovic. Meanwhile, Manchester United and Inter Milan also have their eye on the 24-year-old.

And interestingly, the Mirror suggests that his asking price could be as low as £13 million.

Tottenham must not miss out with Milenkovic potentially costing £13m

A new centre-back has to be one of the priorities for Tottenham this summer. Antonio Conte is certainly building something in North London. But the spine of the side needs further reinforcements.

The idea that Milenkovic could cost just £13 million must alert Tottenham. He has plenty of experience of playing in a back three. And he has been labelled ‘incredible‘ in the past.

Obviously, the levels of interest may drive that asking price up further. But Tottenham need to make sure that they are in the running.

It could lead to a real bargain.
