Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Jesse Lingard has reportedly decided he wants out of Manchester United this summer.

BBC Sport claims the Red Devils forward has no interest in talking to incoming manager Erik ten Hag about his future.

The Sun claimed Tottenham boss Antonio Conte was keen on landing the 29-year-old in the January transfer window.

The Spurs manager is said to have put Lingard’s name to Fabio Paratici ahead of a possible move.

However, the Red Devils didn’t allow the attacking ace to leave, and he’s seeing the season out at Old Trafford.

In February, Fabrizio Romano claimed Tottenham were looking at trying again for Lingard in the summer.

“We’ll keep an eye again on Tottenham,” he told Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE.

“The director of football, he’s Italian, Fabio Paratici, he loves to move on free agents and so could be an opportunity.”

“Not even a farewell”

Both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick told Lingard he would get an opportunity to press his first-team claims.

However, he has still started only two Premier League games this season.

On Monday, Rangnick did not introduce him from the bench during the 3-0 win against Brentford.

This would have been a farewell appearance at Old Trafford for a player who joined United when he was seven.

Lingard’s brother posted a message on social media complaining that after “20 years of blood, sweat and tears, four domestic trophies and three cup final goals” there was “not even a farewell” for the player.

According to The Telegraph, AC Milan and Juventus are now in competition for Lingard’s signature.

Meanwhile, Newcastle reportedly retain a strong interest in the former West Ham loanee.

In May last year, Bruno Fernandes hailed his clubmate’s efforts on loan at the London Stadium.

“If you see Jesse, I think Jesse, at the moment, if you watch the last 10 games, has been top, top, top level,” he told United’s club website.

“For me, if you watch the last 10 games, he’s been the best player in the Premier League, scoring and assists in every game.”
