Report: Spurs want Alvaro Odriozola
Spurs are interested in Alvaro Odriozola in case Serge Aurier leaves in the final days of the transfer window, according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.
Aurier has been linked with a move away throughout the summer. In fact, the Ivorian made no secret of his desire to move on at the start of the window.
The good news for Spurs is a move could still be on the cards. According to journalist Alasdair Gold, Aurier believes that he has a move lined up.
And it appears that Tottenham are prepared should the right-back move on.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Fiorentina have an agreement with Real Madrid over a loan move. And the Serie A side have even held talks with the 25-year-old about a deal.
However, the player is yet to make a decision. So perhaps Spurs still have time to swoop in and snatch him from La Viola’s grasp.
Odriozola move would be fantastic way for Spurs to bring curtain down on superb window
Spurs are undoubtedly one of the biggest winners in the Premier League in this transfer window.
They have kept Harry Kane. And they have brought in some outstanding signings.
Replacing Aurier with Odriozolo would be the icing on the cake.
Japhet Tanganga has started the season superbly. But Nuno Espirito Santo would be right to bolster his options if Aurier moves on.
It is not clear what deal Tottenham would pursue. A loan deal would be an excellent bit of business.
But signing the Spaniard permanently would be inspired.
