Report: Spurs remain front-runners to sign Joachim Andersen
Spurs remain the front-runners in the race for Joachim Andersen, but the Daily Mail reports that Nuno Espirito Santo will be given the final say on signing the Dane.
Andersen has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for some time. He was extremely impressive during his loan spell with Fulham.
In fact, it was claimed in May that Tottenham were in pole position to sign the 25-year-old.
Of course, since then, a lot has changed. Fabio Paratici was appointed just over a month after those reports from The Telegraph emerged.
And Nuno has also now come in. It also appears that they are well on their way to signing two other centre-backs.
Nevertheless, it appears that Paratici is just as keen on Andersen as the previous regime was.
The Daily Mail reports that they remain the front-runners to sign the Lyon man. He is currently at Euro 2020 with Denmark.
Interestingly, the report adds that Nuno will have the final say on Andersen.
Spurs defence getting overhaul it needs amid Joachim Andersen reports
There was no question that Tottenham’s defence needed big changes this summer.
Jose Mourinho failed to settle on a consistent partnership at the heart of his backline. And now the Mail claims that Toby Alderweireld is looking to leave.
So it is encouraging that progress is being made in pursuit of both Tomiyasu and Vestergaard.
And it seems that Andersen could also become a serious target in the near future – as long as Nuno gives a move the green light.
