Spurs are still firmly in the mix for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic and could even sign him for around £55m before the end of the window.

As we’ve reported on TBR previously, Vlahovic is highly-rated and has even been compared to the likes of Erling Haaland, with a £100m price-tag mentioned.

Spurs are one of the clubs keen on landing the Serbian. He scored 21 goals last season, and is widely seen as one of the top young striking talents currently in Europe.

Talks

Vlahovic has opened talks over a new deal with Fiorentina. However, Alfredo Pedulla now report that there’s been no advancement in those talks and the Viola could be tempted to sell.

They claim that a bid in the region of 65m Euros (£55m) could be enough to tempt the Italians into a sale. Fabio Paratici is making big plays for Spurs this summer.

He’s already moved on the Italian market to sign Pierluigi Gollini and Cristian Romero. Other players in Serie A, such as Takehiro Tomiyasu, have also been linked.

TBR’s View: Time to push for Spurs and Paratici

This is just what Tottenham and Paratici will have wanted to hear. Vlahovic is in discussions, but they’ve hit an impasse. It’s the ideal scenario.

Paratici will be smelling blood now and as long as Daniel Levy backs him with the money, £55m could be a bargain for Vlahovic.

Even if Harry Kane stays, Spurs need another number nine type player. If the window is open here for a deal, then they simply have to act.
