Antonio Conte remains in contention for the PSG job, with Calciomercato reporting that there had recently been a strong push towards approaching the Tottenham Hotspur boss.
Conte is on the cusp of a remarkable achievement in North London. Spurs are now firmly in pole position to finish in the top-four in the Premier League.

Of course, that will set the stage for Tottenham to make their return to the Champions League next term. But perhaps there is a chance that Conte will not be in place in North London next season.
Reports have previously claimed that PSG could appoint Conte as a successor for Mauricio Pochettino. In fact, it was suggested at one stage that the Italian had offered himself to the Ligue 1 champions.

With Tottenham flying, those rumours have largely gone away. However, Calciomercato has suggested that Conte remains in contention for the PSG gig.
He is one of the names on the wishlist, alongside Zinedine Zidane, Joachim Low and Thiago Motta.
Interestingly, it is suggested that there was recently a strong push towards opting to approach Conte. However, there are doubts over whether he is the right kind of manager for the Parisian club.
Conte in contention for PSG job
The fresh links will probably not worry Tottenham fans too much. Conte is clearly loving life at Spurs right now. And the club are most definitely moving in the right direction under his stewardship.
They may be a little nervous about the assurances Daniel Levy provides this summer. It is imperative that Tottenham back him in the market.
Harry Kane described him as ‘brilliant‘. And it would be a huge blow to lose him.
Nevertheless, the fans will still be probably quite relaxed about the speculation linking him with PSG at this stage.
