Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero may not end up playing for Argentina during the international break, with TyC Sports reporting that he hasn’t trained with the team due to visa issues.
The ‘special’ defender was set to play for Argentina in fixtures against Honduras and Jamaica over next week.
La Albiceleste are preparing for the World Cup in Qatar in November but the Tottenham defender’s preparations seem to have been hindered.

Romero may not play during international break
This is due to both players not yet being granted a visa to gain entry to the USA.
Lionel Scaloni’s men have been preparing for their fixtures at MLS outfit Inter Miami’s training facilities.
But Romero has been unable to join his national teammates due to a delay in being granted a visa.
TyC Sports notes that the death of Queen Elizabeth II has caused delays to starting the process of both players being granted a visa.
Romero and Marinez are currently training in Argentina and the delays could cause both players to miss out on their upcoming games.

The Spurs centre-back is an integral part of Scaloni’s side and has been a mainstay in the team since making his debut last year.
The 24-year-old was part of the Argentina squad which won the Copa America in 2021.
Romero will be hoping to feature in Argentina’s games over the course of the next week as he prepares for his first World Cup.
The Spurs man faces a big fixture after the international break too. Antonio Conte’s men make the short trip to the Emirates to face bitter rivals Arsenal next Saturday.
