Niall Huggins looks to have made a big statement of intent ahead of next season, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting that the Leeds United U23s starlet wants to stay rather than leave Elland Road on loan.
With Marcelo Bielsa’s side establishing themselves in the Premier League last season, it looks to be a big summer for a number of their brightest under-23s.

Olly Casey reportedly looks set to leave to join Blackpool permanently. And it would be little surprise if more followed.
The step-up Mark Jackson’s youngsters have to make has obviously increased – despite their own success last season. And thus, it makes sense that some see the appeal of either a permanent exit or a loan move.
One of those some may be expecting to leave in some capacity is Huggins.

The 20-year-old got the chance to make his Premier League debut last season. But he did not get the opportunity to really build on that appearance at Arsenal.
Nevertheless, Huggins has seemingly decided that he would be best off staying put.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, he would prefer to stay at Leeds next season than leave on loan.
Huggins could certainly have role to play at Leeds next season after breakout year with U23s
Huggins arguably looks to be one of the most exciting prospects at Thorp Arch.
He has the potential to step into the Stuart Dallas role one day. The Wales under-21 international can seemingly play almost anywhere.
Bielsa suggested that he gave a good account of himself when he came on at Arsenal. He actually labelled the decision to bring him on ‘unfair’, with Leeds 4-0 down at the time.
And he went on to sit on the first-team bench five more times last season.
If managed correctly, Huggins could perhaps be a surprise package for the Whites moving forward.
And that may explain why the youngster would rather stay with Leeds and with Bielsa than move away next year.
