Report shares Tanguy Ndombele update that'll be music to Spurs fans' ears
Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombele wants to fight for his place in the Tottenham team, according to the Evening Standard.
The outlet also claims the Spurs record signing is hopeful of making his first appearance of the season next week.
After a difficult first season in north London, Ndombele emerged as a regular starter under Jose Mourinho last term.
However, the 24-year-old dropped back to the bench under Ryan Mason and has been out of contention under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Indeed, Ndombele hasn’t made a single matchday squad this season, and was reportedly close to leaving in summer.
That said, Nuno did name the Frenchman in his Europa Conference League squad, which shows he’s not been frozen out entirely.
Now, the Evening Standard claims Ndombele has spoken to Nuno and managing director Fabio Paratici since the window closed.
He has accepted that he needs to work hard to return to the side, added the report.
Nuno may be reluctant to play Ndombele against Crystal Palace due to so little competitive football.
However, the report adds that Ndombele hoping he could play in Thursday’s Europa Conference League match at Rennes.
This will be music to Spurs fans’ ears given how talented Ndombele is and how great it would be to see him shine at N17.
