Bryan Gil is keen to leave Tottenham Hotspur to join Valencia on loan, but AS reports that Los Che are reluctant to pay a fee for the 20-year-old.
Gil looks to be one player who could leave Tottenham in the final days of the January transfer window. It has been a difficult start to life in North London for the Spain international.

He has made eight appearances in the Premier League. However, he is yet to make a first league start for Antonio Conte’s side.
Interestingly, Gil hit out at reports from Spain this week claiming that he wants to leave Tottenham at all costs. It was suggested that he has not settled in the English capital.

But it does appear that he could still leave Spurs before next week’s deadline. And the move he reportedly wants is to the Mestalla.
Tottenham meanwhile, are happy to let Gil join Valencia. However, AS reports that they want £1.25 million as a loan fee.
It seems a reasonable request considering Tottenham spent £21.6 million and allowed Erik Lamela to join Sevilla as part of their move to sign Gil in the summer.
But AS adds that Valencia are not keen to pay a fee to sign Gil.
Tottenham must take decision that is best for Bryan Gil as Valencia hesitate
On the one hand, Tottenham are not asking for a lot as a loan fee. So you could understand if Spurs had no interest in dropping their demands to increase the likelihood of a move.
Having said that, a £1.25 million fee is not game-changing money for Tottenham. So missing out on the fee is not the end of the world either.
Therefore, Spurs can prioritise what is best for Gil. He may benefit from being in and around Conte’s squad. But obviously, playing regularly back in Spain may also boost his confidence.
Gil was labelled a ‘superstar‘ by Graham Roberts after one display this season. Tottenham need to make the decision that helps the winger realise his huge potential.
