Arsenal have received a boost if they hope to offload Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the January transfer window, with Sport reporting that Juventus have already asked about the striker, while Aubameyang would apparently do everything possible to seal a move to Barcelona.

Aubameyang’s future now looks to be up in the air after he was stripped of the captaincy by Mikel Arteta. It comes after a breach of discipline last week.

It remains to be seen if Aubameyang will return for Arsenal. Certainly, many fans will be expecting that he has already made his final appearance for the Gunners.

Obviously, a big problem for Arsenal however, is that he is reportedly not prepared to take a pay-cut to leave. He is said to earn at least £230,000-a-week in North London.

Interestingly, it was suggested that Barcelona’s interest had prompted intermediaries to suggest a swap deal involving Ousmane Dembele. But Barca are not the only team in the running.

Sport is also suggesting that the Catalan giants want Aubameyang. And it is claimed that he is prepared to do everything to seal a move to the Nou Camp.

But, they add that Juve have already asked about Aubameyang.

Arsenal will welcome Juventus rivalling Barcelona for Aubameyang

It is not yet clear how keen Juve and Barca are to sign Aubameyang. But they will be aware that he will not come cheap when it comes to wages.

Juve rivalling Barcelona is good for Arsenal. That increases the likelihood of the Gunners receiving a decent offer next month. And it increases the likelihood of one of his admirers taking him off their hands.
