Spurs have responded to having Antoine Griezmann offered to them by telling Barcelona that they want to be kept informed of developments concerning the forward – however the Daily Star suggests that there is a problem.
Griezmann has been offered out to a number of clubs. Barca are reportedly desperate to offload the 30-year-old this summer.

L’Equipe suggested that Manchester City, Juventus and Atletico Madrid had also been contacted.
And it appears that Spurs’ stance has come to light.
According to the Daily Star, they have asked to be kept informed of developments. But it appears that they are pessimistic about their chances of a deal.

The Daily Star reports wages would be a big stumbling block. Meanwhile, Tottenham do not believe that Griezmann has any interest in joining them.
They think he wants to return to Atletico – the club he left in a £107 million deal.
Spurs not shutting door on Griezmann deal – even if hopes look bleak
It is interesting that Spurs have asked to be kept informed of developments concerning Griezmann.
If they believed that they had absolutely no chance, they would surely have little interest in monitoring what happens from here. So it is intriguing that they are staying in contact.
Perhaps they believe that Griezmann’s stance could change later in the summer.
If Atleti do not make a move, perhaps he may be more open to considering other opportunities.
