A report from The Athletic has made an exciting claim regarding Arsenal and the signings that they hope to make in the transfer windows ahead.
The Gunners return to Premier League action this weekend off the back of a superb run. They have not lost in their last eight, and now sit fifth in the table.

And what has been so impressive about Mikel Arteta’s side is the number of summer signings who have already found their feet at the Emirates.
Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White have been revelations in the Arsenal back five. And it says a lot about Nuno Tavares’ form that there is a debate to be had about whether Kieran Tierney returns to face Liverpool this weekend.

Meanwhile, Albert Sambi Lokonga looks a bright prospect. And Martin Odegaard has shown glimpses of his quality since returning.
The performance in the summer window has healed a lot of the scars from previous transfer dealings. And it appears that they have some exciting plans for the future.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal have set their sights on one or two major signings per window moving forward. They believe that they have now found a core to build from.
Easier said than done, but Arsenal transfer plans could lead to incredibly bright future
Arsenal now have a crop of players seemingly a couple of years away from their peaks.
Focusing on a couple of marquee additions per window therefore, could be an inspired move. There looks to be no need for an overhaul.
Of course, it is easier said than done. For example, Arsenal wanted Manuel Locatelli in the summer. And ultimately, they missed out on the Italian.
But the summer appears to have the potential to be looked back upon as a pivotal moment in Arteta’s tenure. And that should perhaps leave fans with optimism about the plans in the windows to come.
