Report: ‘Sensational’ player is flying into the UK to complete Tottenham transfer

According to multiple reports, Yves Bissouma to Tottenham Hotspur is as good as done.

On Tuesday, The Times claimed Bissouma would become Tottenham’s third signing of the summer.

BBC Sport went as far as to say the player ‘becomes Spurs boss Antonio Conte’s third summer signing’.

Sky Sports reported that Tottenham have agreed a £25million deal to land Bissouma.

The outlet also claimed that the 25-year-old will undergo a medical with Tottenham on Thursday.

Now, football.london has reported that Bissouma is travelling to Spurs to complete his move.

They claim the Mali international was due to set off on a flight to the UK on Wednesday.

Bissouma is then set to stay overnight at The Lodge, the hotel within Tottenham’s Hotspur Way training complex in Enfield.

And on Thursday, he’s set to undergo his medical and complete the formalities of his move from Brighton.

The fee to sign Bissouma could rise to more than £30million with add-ons, added the report.

Bissouma had gone off at half-time of Mali’s game away to South Sudan last week with an ankle injury.

Although he has been spotted on crutches and with a protective boot in images since, he assured fans on social media that the injury was not serious.

Spurs closing in on “incredible” signing

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham have been watching Bissouma since he played for Lille.

He was reportedly on their list of targets to replace Moussa Dembele in 2018.

The report adds that Conte loved what he saw from Bissouma during his performances against Spurs last season.

Arsenal, Aston Villa and Everton had apparently also been eyeing the player with a view to a summer swoop.

However, it looks as though Tottenham have won the race for one of the most highly sought-after players of the summer.

Graham Potter previously deemed Bissouma an ‘incredible‘ player. Ian Wright meanwhile, called him ‘sensational‘.
