Reiss Nelson is likely to get another chance to impress at Arsenal following his loan spell last season, according to a report from The Athletic.
Some may have expected Nelson to be on the move this summer. His contract at the Emirates has just one year left to run. And he struggled to force his way into Mikel Arteta’s plans during the first-half of the campaign last season.

In fact, the 22-year-old only made one Premier League appearance before joining Feyenoord. In the Netherlands however, the attacking midfielder was able to demonstrate a little more of his potential.
He scored four goals and provided seven assists in all competitions, helping the Eredivisie side reach the Europa Conference League final. And with that, it seems that Arsenal are not yet ready to write Nelson off.

The Athletic reports that the youngster is likely to get another opportunity to prove himself for the Gunners.
Reiss Nelson set for another chance in Arsenal squad
Arsenal are probably keeping all options open on the academy graduate. The hopes seemed to be incredibly high when Nelson was coming through the ranks. And he has shone at times for the first-team.
However, he has, so far, not been able to quite kick on as some would have expected. And with that, it is probably too soon to suggest whether the Gunners need to offer him a new deal.
Reports have claimed that Arsenal want to sell Nelson in this window. So it does appear that they have not yet made up their mind on what his immediate future looks like.
Mikel Arteta has described Nelson as ‘special‘ in the past. And with Arsenal battling in Europe again, there could certainly be opportunities to show that he can still make the grade at the Emirates.
