According to reports from Spain, Real Madrid are once again considering selling Brazilian winger and Liverpool-linked talent, Vinicius Junior, this summer.

AS Diario claim that Madrid are keen on landing both Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe this summer, as they look to make a huge splash in the transfer market.

And that means Los Blancos will need to sell a few players, with £38m signing Vinicius said to be among those players the club are open to offloading.  AS claimed at the end of the January window that Madrid were considering selling Vinicius anyway, amid Liverpool’s apparent interest.

And with talk of both Haaland and Mbappe moving on this summer hotting up by the week, it seems Madrid could now be ready to put those plans into action and move Vinicius Junior on.

Liverpool were credited with being interested back in January. Jurgen Klopp is said to be looking at his attacking options heading into the summer. Vinicius Junior, who is still only 20, could well present a viable option, then.

Real Madrid probably haven’t seen the best of the Brazilian yet but he is only young and is clearly a massive talent. The Spanish side, though, are impatient, as history tells us.

If they get a feeling they can land Haaland, Mbappe, or both, then they won’t care who has to make way.

That could play into Liverpool’s hands for a player once compared to Neymar. Madrid, while they still might demand a big fee, may be more open to dropping their asking price if it means landing Haaland and co.
