Leeds United appear to have suffered another blow in the transfer window, with ED in The Netherlands reporting that PSV Eindhoven will not sell Philipp Max this summer.
Max recently became one of the latest names linked with an Elland Road move. Leeds are on the lookout for a new left-back with Junior Firpo sustaining an injury that will rule him out for the opening weeks of the season.

Reports claimed that Leeds had made a £7 million bid for the Germany international. Unfortunately for Jesse Marsch’s side, it appears that a move is looking unlikely at this stage.
According to a report from ED, PSV will not let Max leave this summer. He is the first-choice in The Netherlands. And with that, the club will only consider ridiculous bids for the 28-year-old.

PSV Eindhoven will not sell Philipp Max
Leeds have struggled at left-back for a number of years now. In fact, the last player to really shine consistently in that role was Charlie Taylor.
Gjanni Alioski and Stuart Dallas have done well there. And Barry Douglas was a popular figure, even if some were underwhelmed by the Scot following his move to Leeds.
Firpo endured a really tough first year at Elland Road. But there were some positive signs in the opening game of pre-season against Blackpool.
And losing him is a disappointment, largely because of the lack of depth behind him in the pecking order. Leif Davis has now been sold. And none of Leo Hjelde, Jack Harrison or Pascal Struijk are completely natural in that role.
Signing Max would have pleased many Leeds fans. But it seems that they will now have to look elsewhere.
